We seek to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all delegates attending any National Housing Federation or Chartered Institute of Housing event.
Venue accessibility
The venue has been surveyed with AccessAble, and detailed access reports can be found here:
Exhibition Centre Liverpool - entrance for all delegates, Exhibition and Housing in Practice sessions.
ACC, Liverpool - for Housing in Focus sessions only.
Speaker representation
We research and select speakers that are representative of varying nationalities, sexualities, gender identities, religious affiliations, and economic status as well as people representing other diverse characteristics. Targets on gender and ethnicity, aimed at increasing the diversity of our event speakers, include:
- 50% of our event speakers will be female.
- We will have no all-male panels at our conferences and events.
- 20% of our speakers will be from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic groups.
Inclusive spaces
We conduct an EDI survey to ensure venue spaces are suitable to welcome an audience with mobility, visual or hearing requirements, and from any religious affiliation. We are committed to using venues that provide:
- Wheelchair access to the building and accessible toilet.
- Hearing loop.
- Quiet space.
- Prayer room.
- Catering inclusive of all dietary requirements.
